Relic of the Mermaid

This is an unique multidimensional artwork containing a piece of obscure wood found at a far away coast. It is framed into magickal sigils of vastness, dissolution, endless drifting and timelessness of the sea. This is one of the few objects that originally stems from the land, but has been found in the hands of a dead mermaid, as part of her jewelry. Protected from time by four sigils in the corners it is preserved as an artefact for the people of the land. A whole temple had been built to hold it after several mages had been reporting they couldn’t think while holding it. It consumed their worldly thoughts and longings and filled them with the flowing energies of the sea.

Tarot Mage 2021

(The 2021 Version has a brighter background at the bottom and some subtle accents are intensified. Also the blue current is brighter, more saturated and vibrant.)

This artwork is my personal version of The Magician card from the classic Major Arcana of the Tarot. The character in the painting is the Protagonist of my storyline The Torn. This illustration is a pair with The Star (which is placed above him and from which the feminine flowing energy of life is coming down in a whirl and feeds the mage). Shortly after being created it was and is my best seller on conventions. The artwork itself includes a drawn frame which is giving the artwork a more noble look in a full simple frame. For this artwork a passepartout is not recommended.

Dieses Kunstwerk ist meine persönliche Version der Magier-Karte aus dem klassischen Major Arcana des Tarot. Der Charakter ist der Protagonist meiner Storyline Der Torn. Schon kurz nach der Erstellung war und ist er mein Bestseller auf Conventions gewesen. Das Artwork selbst enthält einen gezeichneten Rahmen, der dem Kunstwerk in einem einfachen Rahmen ein edleres Aussehen verleiht. Für diesen Print wird ein Passepartout meinerseits nicht empfohlen.

Ajna

The Ajna Chakra is the third eye chakra or the simply called the third eye. It is located between the eyebrows, at the place of your third eye – just above the bridge of the nose. Ajna’s energetic seat is in the skull where the pineal gland is located. From the eyebrow center, a nadi or energy current called Maha-Nadi, the great current, runs directly to the Ajna Chakra. Here is also the point where the two main nadis, Ida and Pingala, unite and form the center of all higher mental movements. That includes our emotional and mental intelligence.

This painting is a schematic illustration of the third eye and its fundamental function.

The artwork shows the sun on the left top and the moon on the right top. One arrow from sun to moon shows how the moon is just reflecting the light of the one source of light. Both celestial bodies send light to the physical eye. It is a part of the center sphere representing man. The arrows coming from the sides show the indirect entry of sun light through the reflecting world by entering our skin (membrane and barrier to the outside world). The bottom of the human sphere is the hindu symbol of the third eye chakra and shows the production of the two substances Seratonin (left, daylight, sun, the hormone of happiness, clear wake consciousness) and Melatonin (right, night, the moon, perception of the subtle).

The sigil crowning the top of the artwork is helping with cleansing of the pineal gland.

Ajna

Das Ajna Chakra ist das dritte Auge Chakra oder einfach das dritte Auge genannt. Es befindet sich zwischen den Augenbrauen, an der Stelle unseres dritten Auges – knapp über dem Nasenrücken. Ajnas energetischer Sitz befindet sich im Schädel, wo sich die Zirbeldrüse befindet. Vom Augenbrauenzentrum fließt ein Nadi oder Energiestrom namens Maha-Nadi, der große Strom, direkt zum Ajna Chakra. Hier ist auch der Punkt, an dem sich die beiden Hauptnadis, Ida und Pingala, vereinen und das Zentrum aller höheren mentalen Bewegungen bilden. Dazu gehört unsere emotionale und mentale Intelligenz.Diese Artwork ist eine schematische Darstellung des dritten Auges und seiner grundlegenden Funktion.

Das Kunstwerk zeigt oben links die Sonne und oben rechts den Mond. Ein Pfeil von Sonne zu Mond zeigt, wie der Mond nur das Licht der einen Lichtquelle reflektiert. Beide Himmelskörper senden Licht zum physischen Auge. Es ist ein Teil der mittleren Sphäre, die den Menschen repräsentiert. Die seitlichen Pfeile zeigen den indirekten Eintritt von Sonnenlicht von der reflektierenden Welt durch das Eindringen in unsere Haut (Membran und Barriere zur Außenwelt). Der untere Teil der menschlichen Sphäre ist das hinduistische Symbol des dritten Augen-chakras und zeigt die Produktion der beiden Stoffe Seratonin (links, Tageslicht, Sonne, Glückshormon, klares Wachbewusstsein) und Melatonin (rechts Nacht, Mond, Wahrnehmung des Feinstofflichen).

Das Sigil, das die Spitze des Bildes krönt, hilft bei der Reinigung der Zirbeldrüse.

A bindrune of the harvest season against autumnal mountains of clouds carrying a cleansing rain. Harvest here is not limited to farming yields, but is meant to be a broad representation of wealth and gifts from the universe / the gods.

ᚱ – RAIDO

The journey of our lives, the journey through the year up to the season of harvest. But not only that, it’s our quest. Quest to transcendence, to mastery. The exceeding of thresholds and evolving. The etymology of English “ride” and German “Rad” (wheel) shows this rune is also connected to the sun wheel of the seasons. The recurring cycles of life.

ᛃ – JERA

The harvest is here. We can finally reap what we sowed in the spring and summer. Jera is the rune of farming and the garden (the word garden even stems from indogermanic root “*ger-“)

ᚹ – WYN

We feel alive, happy, thankful and nurtured. We feel connected and full of life. Yes – we are in tune with the world.

ᚷ – GEBO

We thankfully receive the gifts of nature and our work. We harvest and forage, spending our time with hands in the dirt. Gebo is a symbol of giving too though. Our giving back – giving to others and sharing our abundance.

The aesthetic of this illustration is leaned towards old black and white photography and the worn out look of the black metal artworks and inlays of the 90s.

Bindrune der Ernte

Eine Bindrune der Erntezeit vor herbstlichen Wolkenbergen, die einen reinigenden Regen herantragen. Die Ernte ist hier nicht auf landwirtschaftliche Erträge beschränkt, sondern soll eine umfassende Darstellung von Reichtum und Gaben des Universums / der Götter sein.

ᚱ – RAIDO

Die Reise unseres Lebens, die Reise durch das Jahr bis zur Erntezeit. Aber nicht nur das, sondern unser ganzes Streben – unsere Queste. Streben nach Transzendenz, nach Meisterschaft. Das Überschreiten von Schwellen und unsere Entwicklung. Die Etymologie von Englisch “ride” und dem deutschen Wort “Rad” zeigt, dass diese Rune auch mit dem Sonnenrad der Jahreszeiten verbunden ist. Die wiederkehrenden Zyklen des Lebens.

ᛃ – JERA

Die Ernte ist da. Wir können endlich ernten, was wir im Frühjahr und Sommer gesät haben. Jera ist die Rune der Landwirtschaft und des Gartens (das Wort Garten stammt sogar von der indogermanischen Wurzel “*ger-“).

ᚹ – WYN

Wir fühlen uns lebendig, glücklich, dankbar und genährt. Wir sind verbunden und voller Leben – ja – wir sind im Einklang mit der Welt.

ᚷ – GEBO

Dankbar erhalten wir die Gaben der Natur und unserer Arbeit. Wir ernten und sammeln und verbringen unsere Zeit mit den Händen im Dreck. Gebo ist aber auch ein Symbol des Gebens. Unser Zurückgeben an andere und die Natur, als auch das Teilen unseres Überflusses und Reichtums.

Die Ästhetik dieser Illustration ist angelehnt an alte Schwarz-Weiß-Fotografien und dem abgenutzten Look der Black-Metal-Artworks und Inlays der 90er Jahre.
